Altered Match Box Cabinet

This has got to be one of the most functional and clever uses for the altered match box if ever I've seen one!

Not only is this deliciously shabby chic, it is also inexpensive to make using an old cigar box and some match boxes. You could even enlarge your boxes to suit your needs.

Something like this makes great craft storage for those smaller items like brads, eyelets, buttons and other embellishments.

With some decorative paper, vintage trims or fabric and a little imagination, you can customize a box that is sure to add shabby chic charm to any craft space without breaking the bank.

So find an old, sturdy box, get out your matchbox templates and get creating! I may have to try this myself! ;)

Shabby Chic Box Frames

Shabby chic box frames come in every delicious flavor of inspiring! Still on the prowl for attractive ways to display my paper dresses, I came across this tasty treasure.

Although this is an actual box, I could very easily adapt the idea to a shadow box style frame I can make myself!

This has an air of sophistication to it that I think will add an upscale quality to my art work plus it will also satisfy my craving for an antique, shabby chic finish.

Antique Powder Pot

I found this antique powder pot on Etsy and for some reason my inner voice is telling me to to POUNCE on it! Isn't it fantastic!? It's just one of those curious "must haves" that I think will look great as craft room decor. We'll see!

The Intrigues of Seam Binding

Have you ever come across something you weren't looking for, have never used in your life and would have led a full, happy life without ever laying eyes on it but now that you have seen it, it's a must have?

In an effort to dress up my packing on the dress form dolls I went looking for some freebies I could include and discovered seam binding. While the name speaks for itself, it never would have occurred to me that this could be used as a craft supply.

It comes packaged so prettily that I was hooked with the fervor of an addict! There is certainly no shortage of sellers on Etsy willing to sell you piles of this stuff at a very reasonable price however, one seller did stand out.
